Audi A7 will Drive itself to CES 2015 on a 550 Mile Dare

Written by

Audi is ready to take its autonomous A7 on a 550 mile self-drive challenge from San Francisco to Las Vegas.

After failing the hard-target last year, the automaker has come back to turn the tables. The Audi A7 is powered by “Pilot Driving” which allows it to control the steering, acceleration and brakes. The whole system is composed of multiple radars, sensors and cameras which detect surrounding environment and feed the data to onboard computer, which together with integrated GPS guides the car.

There are still incalculable obstacles, but if the car makes it, a new record would be set in history.
